Big Bed, and other Big Boy things

Corbin moved up to a big bed last week, and he's doing REALLY well! Nap time is a bit of a struggle, but we haven't really had any issues so far beyond that. Bed time routine has changed, too. Lately, it's pajamas, sippy and a show, brush teeth, and sit and cuddle for 5-10 minutes. Then he goes to bed, awake but sleepy and content, and actually stays there. In fact, I would venture to say he does better in a big bed than he does in a crib- no more crying when we put him down, even though it will still take him a while to fall asleep most of the time.

He's acting more and more like a big boy every day. I can't believe how much he's grown! He says "no" (to everything), and lately is starting to learn the difference between "no" and "yes."

He loves books, and sometimes will even sit and "read" to himself. I love listening to the senseless babbles! His very favorite right now is "The Very Busy Spider" ("pider book").

He's starting to say simple sentences- things like "shoes on," "mommy sleep," "help please." His vocabulary is out of this world; I can't even keep up with all the words he can say now.

He loves to sing toddler songs with actions, and will ask for things like "Wheels on the Bus," "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," "Monkeys on the Bed" and "Monkeys in the Tree" (I don't actually know what those last two are called!), and the speckled frogs song. I've caught him singing along (if you could call it that) to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

His favorite game in the WORLD is tickling. He'll start "tickling" you (usually my breasts for some reason) and go "Ticklemon!" I really don't know where that word came from. And no, he's not saying Mom, because he'll say the same thing with Brit or anyone. It's just his word for tickling.

Any fruit is "apple." Any bug is "spider." Anything in the air is "airplane."

I love this kid so much it hurts.
