Word Summary
Kitty (this is the clearest and most consistent- it's "ditty," and he says it EVERY TIME he sees the cat, or a picture of a cat)
All Done
Milk (kinda)
More
MaMa
DaDa
Up (not really)
...and i SWEAR he said "banana" the other day in the store, but it's definitely not consistent yet. And it was really more like "mamama" with the same inflection we use to say "banana."
Corbin now signs:
All Done
Milk
Please
Eat - this is his new favorite, and he uses it to answer EVERYTHING. ie, "Corbin, do you want to go outside?" -he signs "eat." "Corbin, do you want to read it again?" -he signs "eat." "Corbin, do you want to watch Baby Einstein?" ...you get the picture. It's cute, in an annoying sort of way.

Ditty
Corbin's newest word is Kitty ("ditty").
The other day we looked over and he had Whiskey around her neck under her front legs, with the rest of her body stretched down to the floor. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Too bad I couldn't whip out my phone fast enough to get a pic.
He's learning to be soft with her, which just means she's becoming slowly more trusting. Poor cat.

Amazing things have been happening!
Have I mentioned how much I love watching my baby learn new things?
Yesterday we were out shopping past lunch time. Corbin was in the seat of a shopping cart whining and signing "please." I asked him "please what?" and he pointed to his mouth in the sign for "hungry!" That's the first time he's ever told me he's hungry!
This morning he ate a whole bowl of cereal (mostly) by himself. It was rather messy, and a lot of the time he was holding the spoon in one hand and picking out cereal with the other, but he was making a real effort to use his spoon to eat like a big boy. So proud of him.
We went to costco with my parents and sister in law this morning. Christie grabbed a big thing of raspberries and was asking if I wanted one. As soon as Corbin saw those raspberries, he got the biggest puppy dog eyes, and started signing "please" over and over again. It was so stinking cute! Of course I had to give in.
Just now, I brought him upstairs to get a sippy, then I started back downstairs asking if he was coming. He stood at the top of the steps, looked at me, and clear as anything shook his head and said "no." It was so clear, I almost think it was an accident, because he's never used yes or no before. We'll see if he does it again

Panda Love
This guy has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust since Corbin was born. Yesterday we got it down and dusted it off, and Corbin loved it... For about 15 minutes. Then he was over it. But it was cute while it lasted!
The yummy dance
Corbin has started copying something I do sometimes, but it's much cuter on him... When he gets bites of something yummy, he does a little wiggle dance in his seat.

Cuddles
Last night Corbin woke up at 11 just crying his head off. Taking him out to snuggle in the rocking chair didn't even help. What did help? Bringing him into my bed and letting him lay across my tummy while I rubbed his back. I feel sorry for my baby when he feels so bad, but those are definitely some of my very favorite moments.

Seahorse
One time, I watched as he snuggled down to sleep, got himself comfortable.... suddenly sat up, crawled over to the seahorse, bit the belly.... crawled back to his spot, made himself comfortable, and went to sleep. I wish I could have recorded it. You could just see the thoughts going through his head: "Ah yes, that's comfy... Wait! Something's missing! Seahorse, make music! Ok, NOW I can sleep."
Random Bits
- When Corbin falls asleep, it is ALWAYS sideways in the crib- at least 90% of the time.
- When I put shoes on him (which is rare, because we only wear shoes to go outside), he starts "dancing" around the hard floors, tapping his feet in a quick run-in-place motion.
- Every time I change his diaper, once I get him on the changing table and his pants down, he rips them the rest of the way off and starts playing peekaboo with me. The best is when he just holds something up to his mouth/the lower part of his face to play "peekaboo." He doesn't QUITE get it.
- When he's very tired, like last night just before bed, he'll pull his blankie and his binky out of his crib, carry it out to the kitchen (or wherever I am), and lay down on the hard floor. And yet, he still kicks up a huge fuss when I try to put him to bed...
